Head Of Therapy Psychologist

Overview:
Livingwell are currently recruiting for a Head of Therapy Psychologist. Both Clinical and Educational Psychologist backgrounds are being considered. The Head of Therapy is responsible for the development and delivery of the clinical model of specialist psychological support.

Salary:
£75,000+

About the position:

Key Responsibilities:

The Head of Therapy is accountable to the Headteacher and relevant professional bodies.

Acts as a role model to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people.

Accountable to the Headteacher and to lead on all professional and clinical matters in school.
Be responsible for line-managing the Therapy team and any external providers of clinical or therapeutic services
Responsible for clinical and therapeutic input to admissions process and for reporting on therapeutic progress and outcomes achieved
Implement a Therapy plan for the school, which utilises the school website, signage, the prospectus, and communications with current and prospective parents.

Essential Experience of the Clinical/Educational Psychologist

Hold a doctorate in Clinical or Educational Psychology
HCPC Registered
Successful leadership and management experience in a school, or in a relevant field outside education
Expert knowledge of therapeutic models relating to Children and young persons
Ability to develop and communicate a vision and inspire others
Beneficial Experience of the Clinical or Forensic Psychologist

Experience within CAMHS/Child & Adolescent Services.
Experience within a residential care setting.
Experience providing clinical supervision and support groups to non-clinically trained staff
Writing of professional reports (expert witness)
